What you can dispatch & what the operators can input themselves
Our operator screen is how we collect all production information in one place. Related tasks are displayed in a specific order of priority, such that it urges the factory to deliver on time and according to the schedule of the production managers (Boost Deliverability). From day one, Epoptia software applies Pull to production. Pull both for the demand from customer orders, but also between the various production stages. In other words, the operators of a subsequent station will not start work if it has not been completed by the previous ones. This ensures that work is done when it can actually be done. Additionally, what is noteworthy, is the fact that operators too can input any kind of information in the operator screen themselves, simply and effortlessly!
The operator screen on Epoptia Cloud MES has been developed meticulously, with real input from operators. It is extremely easy to use and this is the key to success for us, since operators of any educational level can work on it seamlessly, without needing any particular skills beforehand.
What you can dispatch to operators in work orders
Product description: You can send all product specifications that describe product features technically or technologically and key requirements for manufacturing said product.
Production order and purchase order comments: You can send all relevant comments regarding the production and purchase order made by the customer.
Required production quantity: You can send information about the desired production quantity that the customer expects to get at the moment.
Special manufacturing specifications: Product specs are vital, since they work as a blueprint, consisting of key information (e.g., goals, business needs, target users, and other essential fine points) to help guide the production team in manufacturing a top product.
Bill Of Materials (BOMs): A extensive inventory of the raw materials, parts and components, assemblies/subassemblies, as well as the quantities of each one of them that are fundamental in manufacturing a product. BOMs also include the instructions for how to procure and then use the materials.
Drawings and visual work instructions: You can dispatch the 2D and 3D drafts, designs and models prepared by engineers, as well as visual work instructions (VWI), allowing operators to see what the end product looks like and what steps they need to complete, so as to reduce setup time and avoid unforced mistakes.
What the operators can input themselves
Operators can also input vital information themselves at Epoptia screen regarding the production work orders. For instance, they can:
Enter the quantity they completed: At any given time, operators can update their screen on their progress and inform the system about the completion of their work.
Select or modify any special specification: As far as manufacturing specs are concerned, operators are able to select and then alter any given specifications if needed during the production process.
Enter the actual BOM quantities that were consumed: Operators can update their screen on the actual BOM quantities that were used to complete their work, such as raw materials, parts and components, assemblies and subassemblies.
Activate an alarm: Operators can also activate an alarm or warning for immediate notification of delays and problems, and for other factors as well, such as working times that are necessary but not productive.
Select root causes of problems: They can input information for Route Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify “root causes” of problems or events, so that managers can establish an approach for responding to them.
Enter their break: Epoptia screen gives operators the ability to input their break times, so that management keeps track of production times.
Comments & Photos: Last, but not least, operators can enter comments about anything that was brought up during their work and accompany them with photographic material, so that all interested parties can have a better understanding of the production process. Epoptia is the tool for continuous manufacturing improvement and by employing it you can greatly increase efficiency, ensure continuous flow and reduce your costs. Its screen is by far, the most user-friendly for operators. That is, instructions are simple and thorough, containing designs, specs, comments, and automation. Operators know exactly their workload and what to do next minimizing mistakes and overtime.
